it's the holiday season, people! (yes i know i'm a bit late, but u know, i'm talking not of school holidays but x'mas, new year's and chinese new year, even!)
i gladly took up this opportunity of Stage Cosmetics; for me to review their products.

i took these pictures on my 2nd go at their products. ♥! kelvin's mum and sis thought that my make up was very apt for the holiday season, and it suited me very well.
VERY HAPPY LEH! it's not easy for me to find suitable eyeshadow colours due to my weird eye shape and double eyelids which like to disguise themselves as singles. -__-"
anyway.... after foundation, eyebrow drawn... nothing else:
i used 3 colours here from Palette Scandal for my eyeshadow. Satin Matt White, Glittery Espresso Brown and Smokey Indigo with a Hint of Black, and WonderKiss Lipbalm:
love the colours! i really like the eyeshadow. even when using Ma*'s dark eyeshadows, i find they dun blend as well as Stage Cosmetics'. and i love it that the colours are so striking, and you don't need to brush on a lot of the eyeshadow to have the smokey eyes effect.
the colours on the palette is what you will see on your skin, unlike a lot of other cosmetic brands where no matter how much you apply, the colours just doesn't seem to stick/strike.
i'm officially in love with their eyeshadow!!!!!!!!! ♥♥♥♥♥!

i'm sorry that i can't seem to capture the colours so well. anyhoo, i really have to admire their products. the little compact of blush looked so pale, i didn't know how it will turn out. again, the resulted colour was amazing (also thanks to Jasmine who picked out the perfect shade of pink for me).

i only applied a bit of the smokey indigo and glittery expresso. the results are stunning! i hadn't expected the colours to come up so well! yes i know i'm repeating myself, but a girl's got to get her point through many times!
sorry about my lips though. i ran out of ways to pose my face. HAHAHAHAH! which reminds me... i am loving their lipbalm as well.
beauty tip: if you have dry/chapped lips, you should always apply lipbalm straight after foundation, let your lips be nourished for the time being while you make up the other areas of your face. :)
lastly, to complete my make up, WonderKiss Lipcreme 02 Swoon:

so we walked back towards St Peter's sq, where the Pantheon is, and went into the Cathedral. we didn't go in earlier as it was bright and i wanted to wander around abit to take some pictures.
we actually don't even know the Castel Sant' Angelo existed. it was a wu da wu zhuang incident and we decided to just go in and take a look. i love spontaniety! :)
also, i apologise for some of the quality of the pictures here. we were indoors and the cathedral was dimly lit. but i didn't want to use flash. thus the whiteness in many of the photos... in real, the colours looked more like this:

there were of course, many interesting stuff that i didn't take pictures of -
1. the confessions boxes - comes in different languages! i tot it was a bit inappropriate that i found it mildly amusing. *cough*
2. the beatification of 2 popes, laid in glass coffins, for all to see!!!! i actually asked kelvin if i could take pictures of them... and noted other tourists (Europeans, no less!) taking photographs of the erm.... corp.. i mean errr.... well. the popes la! totally bizarre. and kelvin said he thought it was kinda rude. but hey, i'm no catholic. then again, i thought that if i died and got preserved, i would be so pissed off if people came snapping away!!! so yeah... i didn't, in the end.
3. the baptism place - it was closed off to public, and they very smartly switched off the lights in the area. so... impossible.
4. the shrines to some saints which was closed off to public, and one could barely make out the paintings and sculptures from the closed gates. =(
5. where people were praying to Mother Mary... only because there were guards. and they only let you 'enter' (they pretty much barricaded the place all over) if you were praying... and i didn't want to be the 1st chinese/singaporean/girl/tourist thrown out of the cathedral. lol
so there you go! hope u liked it. :)

i'm quite wary and doubtful of self-manufactured pieces... especially since my parents are tailors, and i know sewing/production quite well. not every design can be made. sometimes ur ideas and pictures may look beautiful on paper, it is just not possible to achieve some stuff.
it's just the way it is. some designs are just... impossible to be manufactured into a real piece.
so you know, i always give a lot of lee-way to blogshops who have their own manufactured pieces. even if they r plain or doesn't hang well, i always thought thatthey did okay, already, though many might differ. you have to know, that certain designs just CAN'T be made! (i know, i m naggy!!!)
ANYWAY.... i m pleasantly surprised at Pearlavish's self manufactured piece. so nice leh! i love the little details on the dress, and this has got to be my favourite from their current collection!

2012i've heard so many bad things about the movie...
eh... i like it! i quite enjoy the lame dialogue amongst the characters. LOL....
despite 2012 being a movie combi of .... well... almost all other disaster movies (including war of the worlds. hahah), i don't see why people will go as far as to say the movie 'sucked'.
i'm about 3/5 through the movie, but just wanted to blog about this before i forget. cos it reminded me of 911... with all the collapsed buildings and airplanes and dust all over...
i remembered that i was a marina south superbowl when 911 happened. everybody stopped and went to the televisions installed behind the bowling lanes...
and then i remember thinking, why can't the media portray situations differently? why can't they show us what we can DO about it. rather than feeding us the news. what's the point?
when george bush declared war on the terrorists, i remembered thinking.... there must be a reason Osama is doing this. and what's that? why? why doesn't the media tell us why? i mean other than the fact that he is a 'freedom fighter' or a anti-bush. why does he hate bush so much, then?

well i shall go back to the movie for now... shall go wikipedia Mayan calander next.

Short trip to Budapest...Benny acted as Harry Potter. WAHAHAHHAHAHAHA more like Hairy Potter. LOL
i'm her-nee-nee (WHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!) and kelvin was ... well just Ron. LOL!
apparently we took the wrong train and it was the express one, which took 2.5 hours to reach Budapest. reall makes me wonder how long the non-express one will take sia. -__-"
by the way this is not the Eurorail... this is Hungary's own rail system... the Eurorail is so much prettier and cleaner and much more atas. hahaha... and of course, it doesn't allow smoking whereas on our way to Budapest, we were puffing away to nobody's business. the conductor came and went. so i guess msoking was allowed. how awesome was that?
then again the seats look and felt so dirty that i placed a tissue (or 2, actually) behind my head before leaning carefully on the seat. ewwww.
ANYWAY.... i've always told you that Budapest is the most beautfiul city in Europe... and here's why.
